Download the application

Before you can configure the phone number on your smartphone, you must download the IPCall application. For iOS devices, you can download the application from the Apple app store, for Android devices from the GooglePlay store.

1. download the app

Before you can set up the phone number on your smartphone, you must download the IPCall application. For iOS devices you can download the application from the Apple App Store, for Android devices from the GooglePlay Store. The publisher is always stored as Nexphone AG.

2. register on my.green.ch

Log in to your customer account via the my.green.ch page. You will find the login data on the data sheet under "my.green.ch Customer Administrator Account".

3. add new mobile device

Select the menu item Telephony in the overview of the customer area.

If you have several greenTalk numbers, first select the correct number from the drop-down list. Then select the "Mobile Devices" menu item.

Now click on "Create" to add a new mobile device.
Enter any comprehensible name for the new device and select the desired number from the drop-down list. Then click on "Save". The new mobile device is now created and the QR code is generated.

4. Lock setup on smartphone

Now start the IPCall app and select "Scan QR" to scan the newly generated QR code from your my.green.ch portal. The app is gonna be configured automatically. As soon as you are forwarded to the numeric keypad and above left appears, the IPCall registration was successful.

You can now select the number you want directly via the numeric keypad, create your own contacts and import contacts from your smartphone.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 General malfunction

If the application shows an error, uninstall the app, download the app again and re-install the app. If this does not correct the error, activate the log SIP operation and send us the SIP logs. Select the "numeric keypad" and click on "Settings" in the upper right corner. Select the "Settings" submenu and activate the "Log SIP operation" option. Now return to the first menu "Settings" and select "SIP Log". Copy the entire content using the "Copy all" button and send us the SIP logs using the contact form.

5.2 QR code cannot be scanned in

If you cannot scan the QR code or if the display stays dark, the app has no access to the camera. You must allow access to the camera in the application management of your smartphone.

Please note that the QR code is only valid once and for a short time. If the registration fails, click on "Generate new activation code" on your mobile device in the my.green.ch portal and repeat the QR code scan. -> See step 3

5.3 My call partner cannot hear me

The application has no access to the microphone. You must allow microphone access in your phone's application management.

6. Notes

6.1 Internet connection

Please note that the application can only be used if the smartphone has an Internet connection. This can be done, for example, via WLAN or the mobile data network.

6.2 Additional costs

Please note that depending on your subscription, your mobile phone provider may charge you for using the mobile data volume. In addition, your mobile phone provider may charge additional roaming fees when using the app abroad via the mobile data network. Green.ch does not assume any additional costs incurred by third providers. Also, we cannot refund any costs if the application does not work as desired.
