Default Green DNS Records

Are you hosting your website or email addresses with Green? In this case you need to make sure that you're using the proper DNS records. This guide will show you all the correct DNS records and how to set them up in your DNS zone file.

Note: Please verify if you use Webhosting / Mailhosting or Hosted Exchange for your mail service.

Web- & Mailhosting

NoteThis section is valid for the following hosting packages:

A Records

Name TTL Type Priority Value
  600 A   194.191.24.XX
* 600 A   194.191.24.XX
mail-in 600 A   194.191.24.XX

NoteMake sure to swap out the last two X's and match them with your actual IP address.

The A record with the name mail-in is responsible for delivering your emails to your inbox. If you are unsure what your exact IP address is, please view this guide.

CNAME Records

Name TTL Type Priority Value
autoconfig 600 CNAME   autodiscover.cloudpit.io.
autodiscover 600 CNAME   redirect-autodiscover.cloudpit.io.

MX Records

Name TTL Type Priority Value
  3600 MX 10 mx01.servicehoster.ch.
  3600 MX 10 mx02.servicehoster.ch.

TXT Records

Name TTL Type Priority Value
  600 TXT   v=spf1 include:servicehoster.ch a mx ~all

Hosted Exchange

NoteThe following entries are only valid for Hosted Exchange customers.

If you're simultaneously hosting a website and using Hosted Exchange for your emails, then make sure to replace the DNS MX records, CNAME records and TXT records containing the SPF value with the following entries.

Furthermore, remove the mail-in A record, since this record is only necessary for customers using a Webhosting, WordPress Hosting, Windows Hosting or Mailhosting package. All other DNS A records are relevant for your website and must remain in the DNS zone file.

CNAME Records

Name TTL Type Priority Value
owa 600 CNAME   ch.exg7.exghost.com.
autodiscover 600 CNAME   adr.exghost.com.

MX Records

Name TTL Type Priority Value
  3600 MX 10 exampledomain-com.mx1.arsmtp.com.
  3600 MX 20 exampledomain-com.mx2.arsmtp.com.

Note Replace 'exampledomain-com' with your own domain name.

Please note the hyphen ( - ) used to separate the Top-Level-Domain (TLD) instead of the usual dot ( . ) symbol.

For example, exampledomain-com.mx2.arsmtp.com. is correct and exampledomain.com.mx2.arsmtp.com. would be wrong.

TXT Record

Name TTL Type Priority Value
  600 TXT   v=spf1 include:edgepilot.com ~all
