To address this, we installed a dedicated point of presence (PoP) in Frankfurt at the largest European internet exchange point DE-CIX in October 2017. At the same time, we entered into a cooperation with the Chinese telecom company China Unicom, allowing us to use a new data line between Europe and China. Spanning the distance over the shorter land route impacts latency favorably. In initial trials, it demonstrated a latency reduction of around 20 to 30 percent for connections to China.

As a result of the direct connection to DE-CIX, even customers with European connections will enjoy greater connection speed. Our customers automatically benefit from the improvements.
